A fantatsic chicken house made from used food grade plastic, upcycled and designed in to a great quality for a brilliant price.

Small chicken house is suitable for up to four bantams or similar, or a pair of larger birds.

Medium chicken house is suitable for up to four large or six small chickens.

Large chicken house is suitable for up to six large chickens or eight to ten smaller ones.

The door is designed so that it won’t trap dirt in the door slots, and it can be easily opened and closed. Access to inspect the birds can be gained via a full width back door which detaches using quick release pins. When the door is removed, there is no ‘lip’ on the floor edge. This, and the fact that the roof removes in seconds as well, makes regular cleaning a breeze. Access to the nesting box is quick and easy – just remove two quick release pins. And the nest box lid can be completely removed for cleaning by undoing two more quick release pins.

Four fully adjustable circular vents provide plenty of ventilation. Even though the sides are made from black plastic, the house remains surprisingly cool, even in strong, direct summer sunlight.

Being plastic, the houses require no maintenance. There are few crevices for pests (such as red mite) to hide in, and the house can be thoroughly cleaned very easily – in seconds if you have a pressure washer. And it will dry out very quickly, too.

Carry handles are cut into the roof, so it is easy to move. But, even if you need to dismantle your hen house for any reason, perhaps because you are moving house for example, you can easily do so and then rebuild it just as easily. Your hen house will not be damaged by this process.

PERCHES. There are two perch options to choose from. If you have meat birds or larger breeds such as Orpingtons or Brahmas that prefer not to perch, select the ‘No perch’ option.

OPTIONS

Legs are available that raise the height of the house by 23cm. The legs come complete with an extended ramp. (EXCEPT LARGE VERSION)

A Wheel Set is available that attaches to the underside of the house and allows it to be easily moved by one person. (EXCEPT LARGE VERSION)

The Chicken Run will fit this house. (EXCEPT LARGE VERSION WHERE WE RECOMMEND POULTRY NETTING)

AUTOMATIC OPENER. We also offer this product with a standard rectangular doorway (See image above), suitable for use with the VSB fully automatic door opening and closing system made by AXT Electronics. If you already have a VSB electronic opener, order the version “suitable for Automatic Door”. Note: You will probably need some important accessories. As a minimum, you must have a suitable door, which you can add to your order. To order this house with a complete electronic door kit, select the ‘including Automatic Door Kit’ option.

COLOURS. The colour applies to the roof, the door and the nest box lid only – all other plastic parts are black. This product is available in the following colours: Black, Green, Blue, Yellow.
