Sol goblets (set of 2) £10.99
Two great goblets made from the distinctive Mexican beer bottle.
These unusual glasses are a unique gift idea and look just great on any dining table, as well as delivering a topic of conversation.
By cutting off the bottom of the bottle and cleverly rebonding it to the neck, a perfect wine glass shape is created; a process which only uses a fraction of the energy required for conventional recycling (melting).
Completely dishwasher safe and very durable!

Reshaped in Cornwall by ‘Greenglass’ using sustainable methods as explained by Phillip from the Greenglass group:
“Our processes are designed to be as energy efficient as possible and we filter and reuse all our water in the factory. We use recycled material wherever possible for our packaging and make sure all our suppliers are on the ball as well”
How it's done:
Each glass is cut, the edge ground and then melted to create a smooth surface to drink from. To make the glasses as strong and hard-wearing as possible they are then annealed in a long oven at varying temperatures for 2 hours. Once out of the oven the glasses are printed and sandblasted with funky designs.
From start to finish it takes about 3 hours for a bottle to go through the process of transformation into a wine glass.
